Some people want to be buried next to a loved one, others ask for their ashes to be scattered at sea, but Earl’s Barton farmer Ken Mallard’s last wish was for a tractor escort to his funeral.
Mr Mallard was so determined to go out in style that he decreed in his will that his coffin should be taken to his final resting place in the company of a fleet of vintage tractors. Members of the Hannington Vintage Tractor Club, to which Mr Mallard belonged, formed a procession of tractors to escort him to his grave.
